Anne was a kind, generous and giving person. She was always ready to help others even during the time that she became very ill herself. She selflessly helped her younger brother John with his doctor’s appointments and hospital trips even though she was experiencing fatigue and discomfort for the past two years.
Anne fought cancer bravely for three years and won many battles but in the end she succumbed to this formidable foe. During her illness she had incredible support from her friends, from her Church and from her nieces, which kept up her spirits and allowed her to hold on to her well known sense of humour.
Her life had at times been hard. She lost her father in an aviation accident whilst still in her late teens. They were very close, and this was a sorrow she carried through life. She has since lost three brothers, each adding to the pain in her heart. And yet, remarkably she still kept her positive outlook on life and brought joy and laughter to many people.
If there is a heaven she will certainly be ushered to the front of the line.
